STATEMENT OF MUTUAL INTENT

    By signing the Statement of Mutual Intent (SMI), ARRI partners pledge to work together to promote and encourage the restoration of high-value, hardwood forests on reclaimed coal mined lands in Appalachia using the Forestry Reclamation Approach. 

If you would like to sign the ARRI Statement of Mutual Intent and become a member of the ARRI Team, contact a Core Team member in your State or send an email to I want to sign the ARRI SMI!  The SMI, a signature form, and a current list of SMI signatories can be viewed or downloaded below in Adobe Acrobat PDF. 

The 968 signatories collected to date represent 207 different organizations including:

  • 52 Government Agencies
  • 59 Industry Organizations
  • 17 Watershed/Citizens Groups
  • 10 Environmental Groups
  • 17 Academic Institutions
  • 17 Conservation Groups
  • 8 Faith-Based Groups
  • 7 International Groups

And 382 individual signatories have signed the ARRI SMI.
