ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:

The 2008 ARRI Conference is being hosted by the West Virginia Division of Environmental Protection and West Virginia University. The program will highlight reforestation efforts in the Appalachian Region and give recent research findings and practice on improving reforestation success. The conference is intended for people in the coal industry, land holding companies, mining and reclamation consultants, land owners, regulatory personnel, scientists and students.

LOCATION AND LODGING:

The conference is being held at the Chief Logan Lodge, Hotel, & Conference Center in Logan, West Virginia. The facility is part of the West Virginia State Park System, run by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. The Lodge is located 1 mile north of Logan, WV on Route 119, and about 60 miles south of Charleston, WV. http://www.chiefloganlodge.com

All 75 rooms at the Lodge have been set aside for attendees of the conference. Participants are responsible for making their own lodging reservation. Lodging rooms will be held until July 11, 2008. To reserve a room, please call 304-855-6100 and request the conference rate of $76 plus tax for a Queen/King room.

FEES AND REGISTRATION:

The full registration fee for all three days of the conference (August 5-7) is $100, which includes all conference materials, transportation and lunches on field trips, refreshment breaks, reception on Tuesday evening, and lunch and dinner on Wednesday. If you attend only the meeting on Wednesday with the meal functions, the fee is $75. A fee of $25 will be charged for each field trip day (August 5th or 7th) or $50 for attendance at only the field trips. Please mark on the registration form your attendance preference.

Requests for refunds will be honored when received seven days prior to the conference. Another person can be substituted for a registered person.
